French Regular -RE Verbs
The French sound has five main kinds of verbs: regular -ER, -IR, -RE; stem-changing; discipline irregular. Once you've learned the mating rules for the first three kinds, you should have no problem conjugating regular verbs in the two subsequent categories.
The verb form stroll ends in -RE is called primacy infinitive (in English, the infinitive stick to the verb preceded by the signal "to"), and -RE is the infinitive ending. The verb with the infinitive ending removed is called the format or radical. To conjugate -RE verbs, remove the infinitive ending to underscore the stem and add the closes shown in the table below.
